Hello all, and welcome to the Bird Photography Contest! I doubt there is much to explain about this - just find yourself a bird, be it a pet budgerigar or a penguin, point, and shoot. Not always quite as easy as that, so I'll be sure to give you a plenty of time.

Rules
1. Submit your OWN work only. Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
2. Up to three (3) entries per participant allowed. Each entry is to be posted separately.
3. Everything must be uploaded on Elftown.

Judging & prizes
There will be four winners: first, second and third place by poll, as well as a host's favourite. Winners get a badge, and there is also one for participants. <URL:stuff/birdphotoparticipant.png>

Deadline is December 22nd, 2008.

2008-10-01 [moira hawthorne]: the first ones arejust normal seagulls... the second is a common barn goose... the 3rd is trickey... looks like a exotic duck or loon... very pretty bird tho... some kindda diving bird by the look of it

BTW, I use a Nikon D80, and both those shots used an 80-400mm lens.

2008-10-02 [moira hawthorne]: just been to your house... yes amazing... well my little o camera barfs half the time... I love natural light... even artificial light anything but flash but my camera seem always half starved for light... there two food related metaphors... my camera sounds like it is Bulimic... Im so glad its digital b/c Id never be able to afford the film to get one decent shot...
